GROWING WITH SPACEPOT IS REALLY AS EASY AS 1-2-3 :
1 : Add Nutrients & Water
2 : Insert Seed into Growpod
3 : And finally the hardest part. Wait.
Begin by removing the top of the Spacepot and twisting the reservoir lid to access the Growpod Kit.
STEP 1 : ADD NUTRIENTS
Add nutrients to Spacepot Reservoir to indicated 1 mark on dropper bottle. Fill Spacepot Reservoir upto to the 1 line [SEEDLING] marker with water. The included hydroponic nutrient solution is specially formulated to contain all the elements that the plant normally would get from the soil. No need to worry about over or under watering.
Tips : For best result use distilled or reverse osmosis water. Don’t use well water or softened water. Most well water contains a high amount of dissolved solids that upset the balance, and softened water adds sodium. This can result in plants suddenly browning, or just not growing well.
STEP 2 : PLANT SEED
Open GrowPod packaging and place into SpacePot. The Grow Medium should be slightly moist. If overly dry, soak for a couple minutes in water before use.
There is a small hole at the top of the Grow Medium. Take 2 seeds and insert down 0.5” into hole (use the tip of a toothpick or pencil). Sweet Basil seeds are included, but any of your favorite herbs can be used with the Spacepot.
Tips : Some seeds germinate in less than 24 hours. Some take 24 days or more. Most seed packets give an estimate of how long your seeds will take to germinate but main factors are: temperature, light levels and moisture. If growing from seed, plant 2 seeds per pod and check the seed packet for information regarding temperature and days to germination. If GrowPod feels dry, soak with water before use.
STEP 3 : WAIT & CARE
Soon you will have a young plant ready to explode into maturity. To take care of your new best friend, provide plenty of sunlight & maintain nutrient levels every few weeks. Once nurtients level reaches refill, add drops to level 2 on the Nutrients Bottle and fill Reservoir to 2 [BLOOM].
Tips: Mix entire Nutrient bottle (15ml) to a gallon of distilled water to create a pre-mixed, ready to use nutrient solution. Smaller harvests can be done 1-2 months. Harvest often to maintain a healthy garden, but never take more than 1/3 of each individual plant at a time.
